We have created a diagnostic decision support system using rare because difficult-to-diagnose cases reported among the Japanese society of Internal medicine members. Their case reports are unique-in-the-world and several thousand cases are annually reported. To create diagnostic support system, we carefully extracted the context of cases, and built AI driven search engine to infer diseases from symptoms. This system is useful at both clinical setting, and educational setting and will be the foundation for next- AI-driven medicine in the future.

Their case report meeting is unique-in-the-world and it has been held all over the country since 1946, has accumulated more than 50,000 cases of digital data and reports thousands of new cases every year. To create diagnostic support system, we carefully extracted the context of reported cases, and built AI driven search engine to find similar cases as well as to infer causative diseases from signs and symptoms. This system is useful at both clinical setting and educational setting and will be the foundation for next- AI-driven medicine in the future.
