Can you imagine the future of information technology in everyday living environments and public spaces? Our research project, which we entitled “Harmonized Inter-Personal Display Project”, has aimed to implement inter-personal display technology for promoting face-to-face communication among several people. Here, we will demonstrate some research topics from our project: augmented reality interaction technologies with novel optical design of mid-air images; projection technologies that superimpose digital information on the real world through human-imperceptible signal; paper computing technologies that enhance the compatibility between daily commodities and information devices.
