Newly developed immersive auditory display system, "Sound Cask" will be shown. This system consists of small sized absorptive enclosure, whose horizontal section is nonagon, and 96-channel loudspeakers for reproducing the desired three-dimensional wavefront precisely. Several contents recorded with 80-channel microphone array, such as Japanese traditional arts, orchestral music and environmental sounds including noise, will be demonstrated. The reproduction is based on the boundary surface control principle, originally proposed in Japan, and inverse filter theory.
