Graduated from Graduate School of Media and Governance, Keio University in 1997. Graduated from Graduate School of Information Science and Technology, The University of Tokyo in 2010. Ph.D. (Information Science and Technology). Produced a geographical visualization of web traffic "WebHopper" in 1996. Won the Grand Prix (Golden Nica) of Prix Ars Electronica in 1997 (as sensorium project). Produced a physical model of the Internet "A Hands-on Model of the Internet" at Miraikan in 2001. Produced a sytem for constructing virtual creatures "Modulobe" in 2005. Interested in collaborative intelligence and social media.
