Technical details

We expressed the world of IoA (Internet of Abilities) advocated by Professor Rekimoto of the University of Tokyo using element technologies such as telepresence robot, all-around camera, WebRTC and dome screen. An all-around camera attached to the robot collects the surrounding space information (video / sound) and is transmitted to the dome screen installed in the venue via the network by WebRTC technology. In the dome screen, the spatial information from the viewpoint of the robot is reproduced in real time. In addition, it is possible to perform bidirectional real-time communication between the place where the robot is located and the dome by the communication terminal in the dome, and it will provide the super-real experience to visitors.

Exhibition content

It is a dome type VR system that allows multiple people to simultaneously experience content, full of realism such as sightseeing experiences, watching sports and watching concerts, without using a head mounted display.
It projects on the whole sky circumference of the inner wall of the dome, realizing a powerful image experience.
Based on the results of the IoA research collaboration with Rekimoto Lab of the University of Tokyo, telepresence experience by IoA realizes real-time communication with content destination.
