Digital Economy Industry Promotion Office of Ministers of Economic Affairs, Taiwan has long been promoting international exchange. With great effort in various areas such as exporting its own Intellectual Property, providing support for local development and establishing Production Committee regarding digital content, we have achieved building international collaborations. In this forum, we will give energy to the digital economy industry both in Japan and Taiwan by bringing global companies and experts together as well as seeking and suggesting technological exchange, the current status of the industry and information about technologies developed.

    Christopher started his career in IT industry with Acer Group back in the late 1990's and had headed several divisions there, including two expatriate terms to China and Thailand. From 2009-19 he joined Reallusion Inc, an innovative independent software developers for 2D and 3D animation software. Together with the industry’s support, he created a globally unique competition event by gathering over 20 top performing teams, formed by university students from Asian Pacific countries to join a 48 hours time-limited animation live contest each year since 2013. Participating nations so far includes Australia/China/Indonesia/Japan/Korea/Malaysia/Taiwan/Thailand/Singapore. He went on to establish Taiwan VTuber Alliance and conducted the 1st VTuber Hackathon in Taiwan in 2019.

  • Tetsuya Fukuhara
    Producer, NHK Enterprises, Inc.

    After spending years working as TV Director, he is currently involved in UX development which utilizes cutting-edge technologies related to such things as video and sound.
    He recently produced next-generation entertainment prototyping “8K:VR” project in an attempt to create the experience of space using 8K video and 3D audio technology.
    Among works announced in this project are 8K:VR Theater “Aoi -碧- Sakanaction“(2016), 8K:VR Ride “Tokyo Victory” (2017) and 8K:VR Interactive “Kanashimi no Kuni no Alice” (2019).
    He also took part in “Sebastian Masuda×Claude Monet Point-Rhythm World 2018 -Monet's Microcosm- Sound Project 2.0“ where VR experience of sound was provided by making use of Wave Field Synthesis(WFS).
